Don't you think that 1024x768 ratio is boring? Well, from now on, you don't have to stick with it! Yes Yes! With our new club's improvements program, your submission to the artpack can be of any aspect ratio. Is it 4:3, 5:4, 3:2 or even 1:3 - we don't give a f**k. Just get the creativity flowing.

Yes, it has been too long! We apologize about that! We've been quite busy!

Now, what most of you have been waiting for was the next art pack and we have it!

As you can obviously tell (I hope ) that the art pack's next theme will be "Desolation". Now, you can interpret that as you wish, please be creative! You can do practically anything this time around!

Now, just in case you don't know what desolation means, here's what dictionary.com would tell you!

Desolation
–noun
1. an act or instance of desolating.
2. the state of being desolated.
3. devastation; ruin.
4. depopulation.
5. dreariness; barrenness.
6. deprivation of companionship; loneliness.
7. sorrow; grief; woe.
8. a desolate place.

When are the submissions due? We're aiming for APRIL 18, 2008!
You should have enough time to create something to submit!


Rules/Requirements
Please make sure that your submission shows effort! Not every piece might make it to the pack, we'd like to submit a quality pack that contain quality images!
You are allowed to submit two pieces, if you collaborate with someone or more than two people, that piece that is submitted will be considered as one submission for all of the members that worked on that piece!
If you are going to submit two pieces, please make sure that the two versions do not look similar to each other, make them look different!
Your submission should be a maximum of 1200px on a longest side, of course you should render it at a larger size and resize down to improve the quality of your image though.
DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR PIECE ONTO DA UNTIL AFTER THE ART PACK HAS BEEN POSTED!!
To submit your work, host your image somewhere on the web (like ImageShack or something) and send us a note with a link in it OR send the image directly to Ronny at rk1649@yahoo.com. Also, please include a title of your image.

Art Pack XIV: ?????

What is the next art pack about? When will everyone know about it?

We don't know what the next pack will be about, and everyone will find out some day in late January (hopefully ).

An idea is set in my (*Druology) mind but, I'm pretty sure there will be some great suggestions for the next pack.

We are again, accepting suggestions for the next pack. Please leave a comment in this journal with your idea, and please describe it if there's something different that you'd like to do. There will also be an update some day next month, asking for more suggestions, so this won't be your last chance to give us some of your ideas.

As I said a few months ago, I'll get to it, I'm not sure if anyone bothers looking at it, but I'll get to it, one of these days!

Well, we're really sorry for being inactive lately, we're definitely not giving up on this club! We're just busy with things off line!

Art Pack XIII: The Midnight

It sure has been a while since the release of the last art pack, Art Pack XII: the BEACH. It was definitely a success! Not only has it been the first pack in almost two years, it is our most popular deviation to date! Hopefully our next one will be bigger than the last one!

Art Pack XIII: The Midnight will be a pack that consists of night scenes! It was suggested in the last journal and quite a few of you seemed to have liked that idea, so there BETTER BE A LOT OF SUBMISSIONS! or else!

Confused about what a night scene might look like? Think it has to be black!? NO, it doesn't!

None of them have black skies, or even have dark blue skies, but this doesn't mean the sky should look like a day scene in terragen!

The DUE DATE will be DECEMBER 16, 2007!!

You have 1 month and 2 weeks to submit your deviation! You have a lot of time but start as soon as possible and start getting your pieces in!

Rules/Requirements

The night scene should look like a NIGHT SCENE, this doesn't mean a sunset, MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A NIGHT SCENE!

Well hello there!

I sure hope you're glad to know that the club hasn't died after one art pack,
because we just won't let that happen!

Now, before the next 'theme' for the next pack is revealed, I've decided to ask for
some suggestions, of course if you'd like to suggest something. If you don't suggest
something, don't complain after everything has been announced!

You can suggest anything, the theme, rules, anything.

I know that the last pack was hard for some people, so this next pack won't have
such a difficult theme, BUT we will still ask for pieces that show some effort.

Ok, so that's pretty much it for now, suggest away!

The Release of Art Pack XII: The Beach

As many of you know, or should know, the latest pack has been released! It was a great pack and a great way to get this club moving again, as we keep saying whenever we have a chance to, it's been almost two years since the last pack was released so we're happy to see something new up!

If you haven't seen the art pack yet (shameful ), you can take a look by clicking here!

Please show your support for it and the pack, it'll help promote the pack that many artists helped put together!

Club Updates

The club will be going through a little...renovation in a way. As you can see the top of this journal has tabs, yay organization! It seemed as if this place was a little all over the place since we opened it on June 30, 2007. We will be working on a few things, including the Iconic Members List, it's horrible, so many members aren't even in their A-Z groups.

There's even a Resources & Tutorials tab as you've probably already read or tried opening, it isn't a page yet, but it will be, we will be posting a journal that includes resources, tutorials and anything else that you might find helpful as a user of Terragen (both versions of course)!

After all of this is done and most likely some other things, we will begin discussing the next art pack!
